I know most people use their phones to get directions but I prefer using a map. I like to see where I'm going and how to get there rather than rely on a computer voice telling me when to make turns.

What a wonderful throwback! I got my first LA Guide in 1968. It worked then, and it works now. A great way to get view the area around where you may want to go.

Thomas Guide is an essential part of our low tech future. This classic cannot be improved, only updated. Keep one or more of these in the same place as your manual typewriter. And don't forget to teach a young person how to read a real map!

I noticed in the new version: smaller font, zip code overlay makes for a busier read, muted colors for parks/recreational areas which makes them less distinct, reduced or no graphics for campus areas. In my 1994 version some building layout/markers were included on large campus/areas/recreational areas. I appreciated the major arteries/freeways in BOLD, bigger wire spines made turning pages easier and the updates to newer event spaces.

Having a Thomas Guide in the car makes us feel much more secure about making driving plans and finding routes to avoid traffic.

Thank you for continuing the Thomas Guide Map Book. As pointed out to the informed, if the GPS system is hacked and not available, your map book is essential. There are a few individual corrections that could be made to perfect the product.

Wow, SO thrilled to get an updated Thomas guide! We love them and hope you’ll continue to make them for those of us who prefer paper.

This is the same Thomas Guide that generations have grown to know and love and rely on to navigate LA in detail. It's for map lovers, yes, but it's also useful for everyone who needs an alternative to a small screen where zooming out is often unhelpful. The paper guide gives a full wide view of the city as a way of taking it all in and flipping between pages to offer a simultaneous dual perspective that small screens fail to do. Thanks for bringing back the Thomas Guide! The city of freeways deserves and appreciates it.

I am admittedly a geezer. I find electronic maps very hard to use, and map books such as this quite easy. I don't need to know the whereabouts of every store along the way, or seven alternative routes. I don't need a woman's voice telling me how to get to the end of my block. THIS is what I need.
